Pogo… Who wouldn’t want a POGO! (polaroid)

It could be the boredom of work or thinking about an upcoming trip to Japan that seduced me to purchase a refurbished Polaroid Pogo from Overstock.com, Zink ink paper and Moleskine Japanese album notebooks from Amazon on a whim.  What’s special about the “Japanese” type Moleskine is that the pages open up like an accordion.  So you stretch them out/fold them up and gives you a bigger canvas to work with.

I saw some great samples of how you can document things using a pola pogo on the impossible project:

So I thought, what a great way to journal/write about a trip IN the moment.  The pogo is the size of an iphone and you can transfer photos about to it via bluetooth (cell phone pics) or USB.

I really want to take polaroids with my SX-70, but i’m worried about banging it up the trip.  Plus polaroids are pretty hefty right now, even with the Impossible Project doing their thing.  One nice thing is that the pogo doesn’t need any ink, the chemical elements are in the Zink photo paper itself.  Can’t wait for it all to arrive, samples to come!
