patagonia mlc unzipped!
Always wanting to try something new, I will be using only one carry-on bag for a 2 week vacation. I’ve always felt I packed too much and lugged unnecessary suitcases for trips (short and long). With only a carry on you eliminate airline baggage fees and lost luggage, plus more freedom to hop on and off of trains. After some obsessive research and analyzing reviews, I chose the Patagonia Maximum Legal Carry-On (MLC).

The mlc has 4 zippered compartments (3 big and 1 smaller, stash pocket) which is good for separating your clothes. Standard duffels have only one main compartment which is hard to keep things organized. The stash pocket is perfect for your passport, small notebook, pens, and important documents. I do think the zipper opening could be a little wider, sort of hard to get access to the mesh pocket.

You can carry the mlc on your shoulder, as a backpack, or from the 2 handles. The bag has a very clean look and although it has all these carrying options, straps/buckles can all be hidden and tucked away.

The main compartment unzips like a suitcase for easy packing. It also comes with interior zip organizer which doubles as a compressor to keep your stuff secure.

The interior organizer can be unbuckled an hung up (handy if you use it to hold your toiletries)

Will all my stuff fit? To be continued…
