What’s behind it?
Not being able to ride my linus mixte on the weekdays (no lights yet), I took advantage of the nice, almost too warm weather today. Made a visit to UCLA which is only 2.5 miles away making it a quick 15 minute ride.

Linus definitely fits into the collegiate crowd…

Slightly bored last night, I downloaded a photography app for my Iphone - Hipstamatic. It’s an application that allows your iphone to mimic film/vintage cameras. You can choose different combinations of lenses and film and then also pair with different types of flash bulbs (if you have the Iphone 4). It was a lot of fun seeing how the photos would turn out. For $1.99 the starter pack comes with 3 lenses, 3 films, and 1 flash.
My favorite pairing of this group is the John S lens with Blanko film, no flash (I only have a 3Gs).

Wanting some black and white possibilities I purchased another pack on impulse. For $0.99 I got the Camden pack which came with 2 film types: Alfred infrared and BlacKeys SuperGrain. This an example of John S and BlacKeys SuperGrain.

Then i convinced myself that i would only buy 1 more pack (i’m addicted at this point) and chose the Shibuya pack that includes a film, flash, and lens. I had a hard time getting into my car and leaving work today because I was stuck on how cool the Roboto Glitter lens and Float film were.

I think I’m a fan of dark and dirty vintage feel photos. For just $3.97 I’m getting a lot of versatility from the app. Luckily there aren’t that many more packs to buy.
